This is a full-time, short-term, Virtual role as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) serving a school located in Virginia.
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will be responsible for providing therapy services to students, conducting assessments, developing IEP plans, evaluating progress, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams (therapists, educators, parents). The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for working with students with special needs.
Job Details
- Full-time, 34-38 hours/week
- 8β12 week position starting September 16, 2026 (ASAP.)
- 5 days a week, 6.5 - 7 hours a day
- K β 5 grades
- Caseload of 50-55 students
- Virtual role
- The schedule has been established
- Strong preference for Virginia license
- Must have 2+ years as a Virtual SLP in the last 3 years
- Guaranteed hours included planning, prep and documentation time
- 1099 Rate of pay: $65/hour
- Job Duties: direct therapy, consultation, evaluations, case management
- Dual support from the District and TheraPeds
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program
- State License as Speech-Language Pathologist
- Department of Education Licensure as a SLP
- National License: ASHA
- Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred
- CF-SLP placement may be available
- Experience working with children
- Experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in use of technology
- Fingerprint background clearance
- Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications
Physical Requirements
Working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling, and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities, while adhering to the duties outlined by the district.
