Duties and Responsibilities:

- Collaborating with the administrator over special education to develop and coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings.

- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions.

- Conducting speech and language evaluations and contributing to assessment planning as part of the special education process.

- Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP.

- Providing specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models.

- Documenting service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines.

- Consulting with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments.

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

- Other duties as assigned.

NHA provides specially designed instruction developed to meet the unique needs of each child as a result of their disability, and the SLP plays a critical role in supporting student access to instruction and overall academic success.
Qualifications:

- Must hold a Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology, or Communicative Sciences and Disorders, and

- Limited Speech Language Pathology License issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs LARA); or

- Speech Language Pathology license issued by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

- Experience working with at-risk student populations

- Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment

- Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models
