The private equity and asset management industry manages trillions in assets, funding massive innovation and high-impact companies around the world. Most of this still operates on manual PDF, email and paper-based processes and fragmented legacy systems. Vestlane replaces that with a digital-native onboarding and compliance experience: fund and asset managers as well as administrators and other stakeholders use the platform to onboard investors, assets and other counterparties, run compliant KYC/AML processes, and manage subscription documents end to end.

We are a lean tech company operating at the intersection of RegTech, LegalTech, and FinTech with the mission to transform this industry from point-in-time fundraising to perpetually compliant KYC/AML lifecycle operations.

We’re hiring a Software Engineer to join our international team and extend Vestlane with Angular/TypeScript, Spring/Kotlin, and MongoDB. You’ll work across the platform, from UI components to public APIs.

Tasks

Vestlane includes a mobile-friendly web app, a low-code workflow engine, and public APIs, with more features on the roadmap.

- Design, develop, and operate new features with TypeScript/Angular, Spring/Kotlin, MongoDB.

- Maintain mission-critical components of the existing platform.

- Deliver work end to end, from collaborating on specifications to verification.

Requirements

Your mindset

- You care about the product and about technical quality, and you don't treat them as opposites.

- You prefer small, shippable steps over grand rewrites, and you pick tools to solve the problem in front of you without chasing buzzwords.

- You communicate often and clearly, help others proactively, and discuss options openly.

- You love modern development: continuous integration (trunk-based), comprehensive testing.

- You value simplicity: new tools only when they solve a concrete problem clearly better.

- You are able to use AI as an accelerator, without becoming a meat proxy.

We - not the tools - are accountable for what gets shipped.

- You thrive in remote work:

- Write clearly and concisely: specs, messages, and PR descriptions are structured and to the point

- Communicate proactively: you share progress, flag risks early, and ask when unsure.

Your profile

- 4+ years in software development.

- Good judgement in engineering and product.

- Strong in at least one of Angular/TypeScript, Spring/Kotlin; eager to pick up any missing one.

- Take accountability for the delivered work end to end: from requirements to validation.

- Fluent English

Benefits

- Enjoy a great remote culture, which allows you to be very flexible, with occasional catch-ups in co-working spaces in Berlin/Munich.

- 30 vacation days per year.

- Equity

- Modern equipment (e.g. MacBook Pro) and tooling.

- Training budget/Learning opportunities.

We are looking forward to hearing from you!
