Social Media VA & Content Creator | Canadian Food Truck
We’re looking for a creative and reliable Social Media VA from the Philippines to help manage the online presence of a Canadian food truck business.
The main focus is social media content creation and posting. We’ll provide photos, videos, promotions, menu updates, etc. — we need someone who can turn that into good-looking content, post consistently, and bring their own ideas to the table.
What you’ll be doing:
- Creating graphics/posts using Canva or similar
- Editing Reels, TikToks, and other short-form videos
- Writing captions and scheduling/posting content
- Managing content across Instagram, Facebook , TikTok, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profile
- Helping plan a content calendar and coming up with new post/video ideas
- Keeping the business pages active, professional, and up to date
- Paying attention to trends and finding ones that actually make sense for the business
You should have previous experience doing social media for a business or client. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable with both graphic design and video editing, has good written English, pays attention to detail, and can work independently without needing step-by-step instructions for everything.
Experience with restaurants, food businesses, or other local businesses is a plus, but not required.
Website & Blog Experience
Website experience is a big bonus, but it is NOT required. Social media is still the main priority for this position.
If you also have experience updating or managing websites, publishing blogs, making basic website changes, updating photos/text/menus, or doing basic SEO, we definitely want to know about it.
Experience with WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, or similar platforms is a plus. We’re not necessarily looking for a web developer — just someone who could also comfortably handle basic website and blog work when needed.
If you have website experience, put “WEB” in ALL CAPS at the beginning of your application subject line. This is important so we can identify applicants who can potentially handle both.
Pay: $4 USD/hour, bi-weekly pay; can start with weekly pay if needed
To Apply
Please send:
1. A short introduction about yourself and your experience (This can be a Vocaroo, Loom, or written introduction)
2. Your resume
3. A portfolio or examples of graphics and videos you have personally created
4. Which social media platforms you have managed before
5. What programs you use for graphic design/video editing
6. Your availability and how many hours per week you’re looking for
If you have website experience: use the subject line “WEB – Social Media – Your Name” and briefly tell us what platforms you’ve worked with and what kind of website/blog work you’ve done.
If you don’t have website experience: that’s completely fine. Use “Social Media – Your Name.”
Please make sure any portfolio links are viewable. No need for a long cover letter — we’d much rather see examples of your actual work.
This role requires you to be in the Philippines. If that means relocating or flying in, it is worth checking fares before you commit to a start date.
