Senior Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead
The Senior Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for moderate and high-net-worth households, helping clients achieve long-term financial goals through personalized wealth management, investment strategy, and comprehensive financial planning. This role is responsible for retaining and growing client net assets by delivering proactive, strategic financial advice and an exceptional client experience.
As the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team, the Senior Wealth Advisor, Practice Lead partners closely with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist. While this is not a formal people management role, this position provides day-to-day practice leadership through delegation, coaching, colleague development, and coordination of the client experience.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the lead advisor within a dedicated client practice team, partnering with a Wealth Advisor and Client Experience Specialist to manage and strengthen relationships with a dedicated book of Empower clients enrolled in Premier and Brokerage services
- Deliver proactive, personalized client consultations covering client onboarding, comprehensive financial planning, investment strategy, investor education, and ongoing wealth management needs
- Advise clients through video conferences, email, phone, and in-person meetings, balancing proactive client outreach with responsive service
- Retain and grow client assets under management (AUM) through relationship management, clear communication, financial education, and consistent follow-through
- Recommend and review investment strategies and portfolio decisions aligned with clients' financial goals, risk tolerance, investment objectives, and financial plans
- Deliver holistic financial planning across retirement planning, retirement income strategies, tax-efficient investing and savings, education planning, income optimization, and estate planning considerations, partnering with Planning Specialists on complex planning needs
- Analyze and present investment portfolios and financial strategies to help clients make informed financial decisions
- Partner with advisory team members and stakeholders across Empower Personal Wealth to coordinate solutions and ensure timely and effective resolution of client needs
- Provide practice leadership by delegating responsibilities and coaching, training, and developing colleagues to enhance team performance and the client experience
- Track and manage client relationship, asset retention, asset growth, and engagement objectives in accordance with established practice goals
What You Will Bring
- FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 registrations required
- FINRA Fingerprinting required
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of related experience in financial services and client experience, specifically in wealth management, financial advisory, investment advisory, or financial planning
- Experience advising moderate and high-net-worth clients or managing complex wealth management relationships
- Experience working directly with clients and providing wealth management, investment, or financial planning guidance
