Senior Tax Analyst

We are seeking a Senior Tax Analyst with 10+ years of corporate tax experience that will be responsible for indirect tax compliance, preparing returns, minimizing risk and identifying potential savings at the subsidiary company level. This position will be remote but must be in EST or CST. Salary Range: $85,000- $100,000/annual Essential Duties & Responsibilities The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. - Research state and local payroll, gross receipts, and sales/use tax questions, including tax rates and filing requirements.
- Provide tax data to operations for proposals and bids, including rates, exemption/resale certificates, etc.
- Register companies for state and local tax accounts, including payroll withholding, unemployment, gross receipts and sales/use tax.
- Maintain payroll system tax data, research failed returns and facilitate re-filings.
- Calculate and file returns for state/local gross receipts and sales/use tax.
- Reconcile tax liability accounts.
- Review quarterly payroll tax returns, W2s and 1099s prior to filing.
- Respond to audits.
- Work with BBNC on tax requests, including OH CAT, foreign activity, etc.
Minimum Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualifications listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or finance
- 10 years corporate tax experience.
- Experience with multistate tax compliance, including researching and applying state and local tax laws, rates, filing requirements, and registration obligations.
- Experience working in a multi-entity environment, with the ability to manage tax compliance, registrations, filings, and reconciliations across multiple subsidiaries or legal entities.
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Ability to prioritize and organize, work well under stress, meet deadlines
- Ability to work flexible hours, as required to meet deadlines
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to constant change
- Effective interpersonal skills a must
Additional Qualifying Factors:
As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
