We deliver seamless compliance solutions to millions. We leverage market-leading technology and essential data to simplify complex operations, reduce risk, and champion a safer, healthier, and happier workforce.
As a Senior Software Engineer , you'll be a hands-on technical leader who ships. Your main mission for the year ahead is to design, build, and launch our React Native companion app and get it into the App Store and Google Play. You'll work independently where it counts and alongside our web, API, and design teams to bring our compliance platform to mobile. You'll own features from end to end across a unified TypeScript stack, and you'll set the bar for quality, accessibility, and reliability along the way.
We have built a large-scale compliance platform for licensed professionals. It runs on a cloud-native monorepo with a unified TypeScript stack. We work in a regulated space, so ADA compliance (WCAG 2.1 AA) and solid engineering matter here in a concrete way: real people use this to keep their licenses and their jobs.
What You'll Do
-
Own the React Native companion app from architecture, to instrumentation, through app-store release, and the iteration that follows launch.
-
Work side by side with the web application team to build out new features for both web and mobile.
-
Ship full-stack features across accessible React UIs, type-safe APIs, and a GraphQL layer over several data stores, from first design to production.
-
Weigh architectural trade-offs and explain them clearly to both technical and non-technical people, so engineering decisions stay tied to business goals.
-
Stay accountable for what you ship. That includes instrumentation, handling incidents, and the analysis afterward.
-
Make the team better through careful code reviews, mentoring, and sharing what you know.
-
Improve how we deliver software: our testing frameworks, our CI/CD pipelines, and the tooling that gets in everyone's way when it's not right.
-
Support our teams across the organization, working cross functionally on multiple product lines, and pivoting when needed for success
We Would Like You To Have:
-
8+ years of real, full stack production experience, specifically with React, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern cloud-native development, and modern CI/CD, observability, and running the systems you build.
-
Experience with native mobile experience (iOS or Android) alongside React Native, focused on building and shipping mobile apps to the App Store and Google Play, and you can confidently navigate app review, release, and the messy weeks afterward.
-
Strong system-design instincts, with a priority on reliability and scalability, understanding how things fail, and what a codebase feels like to maintain years later, and you build with that in mind.
-
Rapid discernment in reviewing quality AI code using Claude Code or Copilot and the ability to utilize these resources to expedite your workflow.
-
Ownership is a priority for you; you quickly identify problems, implement solutions, and go where youโre needed to better integrate AI solutions.
-
A track record of setting technical direction and mentoring engineers on a collaborative, asynchronous, distributed team.
-
Good judgment about when to pay down technical debt and when to keep shipping.
-
Experience building accessible web applications (WCAG 2.1 AA)
On seniority: the experience above usually adds up to something like 8 or more years building and running production systems. We care more about what you can do than the exact number.
