Senior Product Designer – Consumer AI App

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Designer – Consumer AI App based in Ireland.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape intuitive, visually compelling experiences for a fast-growing consumer AI application used at scale. You will own the end-to-end design process across conversational interfaces, character creation, monetization, and user growth journeys. You will also explore emerging interactive experiences, including live features and AI-powered video, helping define how users engage with next-generation AI products. Working closely with design leadership, product managers, and founders, you will translate strategic goals into polished interfaces, meaningful interactions, and high-quality prototypes. This hands-on role combines strong product thinking with exceptional visual craft in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. Accountabilities
- Lead end-to-end product design across core consumer experiences, including conversational interfaces, character creation, monetization journeys, and user acquisition and retention flows.

- Design innovative product experiences across emerging surfaces, including live interactions, interactive features, and AI-generated video experiences.

- Collaborate closely with the Design Lead, Product Managers, and founders to translate product strategy and business objectives into effective design solutions.

- Take ownership of multiple product areas, independently driving design initiatives from initial discovery and concept development through execution and delivery.

- Create polished user interfaces, intuitive interaction patterns, and engaging prototypes that meet high standards of usability and visual quality.

- Design mobile-first experiences optimized for large-scale consumer audiences, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and a seamless user journey across relevant product surfaces.

- Explore and develop new interaction models for AI-powered products, adapting design approaches as product capabilities and user expectations evolve.

- Use AI-powered design tools, prototyping solutions, and content-generation workflows to accelerate exploration, improve efficiency, and enhance creative output.

- Work in close partnership with cross-functional teams to validate concepts, refine user experiences, and deliver high-quality product improvements.

- Contribute to a fast-moving product environment by balancing strategic thinking, creative experimentation, and hands-on execution while maintaining a high level of autonomy.

Requirements

- At least 5 years of end-to-end consumer product design experience, with a strong track record of designing and launching mobile-first products at scale.

- A compelling portfolio showcasing modern, polished user interfaces and high-quality design work across real consumer-facing products.

- Exceptional visual design skills combined with strong strategic product thinking and the ability to connect design decisions to user needs and business outcomes.

- Advanced proficiency in Figma, including interface design, component systems, interactive prototyping, and collaborative design workflows.

- Strong prototyping capabilities using design tools and, ideally, code-based approaches to explore and communicate complex interactions.

- Demonstrated experience owning product areas independently, managing the full design lifecycle, and delivering high-quality outcomes with limited supervision.

- Practical, daily experience using AI tools for design, prototyping, content generation, or creative exploration, with the ability to explain the specific tools and workflows used.

- Strong understanding of mobile-first design principles, user journeys, interaction patterns, and the needs of large-scale consumer applications.

- Excellent asynchronous communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with distributed teams in a fully remote environment.

- Comfort working on a B2B or contractor basis initially, with the flexibility to adapt to a potential future transition to full-time employment.

- Full comfort working with adult-content product experiences, as this may be part of the application's features and target use cases.

- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to balance creative ambition, product strategy, and practical delivery requirements.

Nice to have:

- Experience designing products in NSFW, dating, AI companionship, or social networking environments.

- Experience with subscription-based business models, monetization strategies, and conversion optimization.

- Skills in motion design, 3D design, illustration, or other complementary visual disciplines.

- Experience designing gamified experiences that encourage engagement and retention.

- Front-end development familiarity with HTML, CSS, or JavaScript.

- Experience designing AI-native products or exploring new interaction paradigms for emerging consumer technologies.
