GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Lead the design, development, and modernization of scalable enterprise applications and cloud-native platforms. Provide technical leadership across architecture, software development, and system integration while contributing hands-on code. Drive engineering standards, microservices adoption, cloud strategy, DevOps practices, and AI-enabled development initiatives to deliver secure, high-performance, and maintainable solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include:

- Design enterprise Java 21+ architectures and contribute directly to coding

- Lead the development of scalable, high-performance cloud-native applications

- Create prototypes and reference implementations to validate architecture decisions

- Contribute production code for complex features and integrations

- Define and enforce architecture and coding standards

- Document architectural decisions and system interactions

• Lead code and design reviews

- Build microservices and distributed systems

• Design APIs and integration patterns

- Collaborate with product and engineering teams

• Troubleshoot complex production issues

- Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices

- Mentor engineers through hands-on guidance

- Evaluate and adopt new technologies, including AI tools

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate should have:

- A strong balance of architecture and hands-on development

- Ability to work across design and implementation

• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience leading technical decisions
• Strong communication skills

- Experience working in Agile environments

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

- 8+ years of Java development experience, including architectural responsibilities.

- Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Security. • Experience with Spring Could is a plus • Expertise with JDBC-based data access

- Experience with caching strategies (distributed + local fallback)

- Experience with microservices and distributed systems

- Strong experience with REST APIs and integrations

• Strong MySQL/Aurora SQL skills

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tools

- Strong understanding of system performance and scalability

AI / MODERN ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE

- Experience with AI-assisted development tools

- Familiarity with AI-enabled applications and workflows

- Understanding of data pipelines and automation solutions

- Exposure to generative AI concepts is a plus

WORK EXPERIENCE (PREFERRED)

- Experience with Azure DevOps or comparable tools

- Experience with ERP or supply chain platforms

- Experience with security frameworks and best practices

• Experience modernizing legacy systems

EDUCATION

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field
