Non-small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC)

HARMONi: Phase 3 clinical study which was intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to placebo plus chemotherapy in patients with EGFR-mutated, locally advanced or metastatic non-squamous NSCLC who were previously treated with a 3rd generation EGFR TKI.

HARMONi-3: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab combined with chemotherapy compared to pembrolizumab combined with chemotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.

HARMONi-7: Phase 3 clinical study which is intended to evaluate ivonescimab monotherapy compared to pembrolizumab monotherapy in patients with first-line metastatic NSCLC.
Colorectal Cancer (CRC)

HARMONi-GI3: Phase 3 clinical study intended to evaluate ivonescimab in combination with chemotherapy compared with bevacizumab plus chemotherapy.
Ivonescimab is an investigational therapy not presently approved by any regulatory authority other than China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Summit is headquartered in Miami, Florida, and has additional offices in California, New Jersey, the UK, and Ireland.
Role Overview
The Field Director of Oncology MSL is a senior leadership position within the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) organization, responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a MSL team to deliver high-quality, compliant, non-promotional scientific engagement. The role translates therapeutic area strategy into regional execution, elevates scientific exchange quality, and ensures field-captured insights inform medical planning and evidence strategy
Role and Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead, coach, and mentor a 7 member MSL national team, ensuring high-quality, compliant scientific engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and key opinion leaders (KOLs)
- Conduct routine field visits and one-on-one meetings to provide observation, feedback, and career development guidance
- Monitor and boost team performance using data, dashboards, and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement and continuous development
- Implement inclusive leadership practices to recruit, retain, and motivate a diverse, high-performing team
Scientific Strategy and Execution
- Translate therapeutic area (TA) and Medical Affairs strategy into actionable regional field priorities and objectives
- Ensure effective execution of field medical programs including product launches, proactive initiatives, clinical education, and scientific exchange
- Serve as a scientific leader and strategic thought partner, offering guidance on disease state knowledge, product information, and evidence generation
- Oversee collection, analysis, and communication of Medical Insights to inform strategy, evidence generation, and lifecycle planning
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, and other internal stakeholders to align field activities with company objectives
