About the Role

As a Senior D365 Business Central Developer, you will work as a fully embedded, dedicated member of an ERP implementation and consultancy practice, contributing directly to client-facing Business Central implementation, customisation and support projects. This is not an internal systems role. You will deliver Business Central solutions to the company’s own client base, which includes a strong presence in the construction sector, while working closely with consultants and project leads across multiple client engagements.

The role is designed for a senior developer who can build long-term familiarity with clients, projects and the codebase, working as a genuine team member and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain customisations and extensions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central using AL.

- Support ERP implementation projects end-to-end: requirements input, configuration, development, testing, and go-live support.

- Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and third-party systems / APIs (including Power Platform where relevant).

- Assist with upgrades and migrations from Dynamics NAV to Business Central where applicable.

- Troubleshoot and resolve functional and technical issues raised by Storm's clients.

- Produce clear technical documentation for custom development and configuration work.

- Work closely with Storm's consultants and project leads across multiple concurrent client engagements.

Requirements

- 5+ years’ hands-on development experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, or Dynamics NAV with recent Business Central transition experience.

- Strong proficiency in AL language and the Business Central / VS Code development environment.

- Solid understanding of Business Central data structures, tables, pages and extension architecture.

- Experience with API-based and third-party system integrations.

- Comfortable working directly with external clients in a consultancy delivery environment, not just internal stakeholders.

- Strong written and spoken English, given daily collaboration with an Ireland/UK-based team and clients.

- Able to integrate as a genuine long-term team member, remaining present and responsive on Slack/Teams during Irish/UK working hours and building real relationships with clients and colleagues.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Power Platform, including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps, alongside Business Central.

- Prior experience specifically in construction, professional services or project-based client sectors.

- Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central certification(s).

- Experience migrating clients from legacy Dynamics NAV versions.
