The Senior Cloud / DevSecOps Engineer designs, engineers, automates, and operates secure enterprise cloud and hybrid-cloud environments supporting mission-critical government workloads. This role provides technical leadership across A WS GovCloud, cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, container platforms, CI/CD, DevSecOps, application migration, and cloud operations, with responsibility for delivering scalable and repeatable infrastructure while maintaining strict federal and DoD security requirements.
The engineer develops standardized cloud hosting and deployment models, integrates AWS IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS capabilities with enterprise COTS/GOTS applications, and enables development and delivery teams through infrastructure-as-code and automated deployment pipelines. The position also supports application and infrastructure migrations, Kubernetes-based platforms, Windows and RHEL systems, operational sustainment, and continuous improvement across large multi-account cloud environments.
Job Responsibilities
- AWS Cloud Architecture & AWS GovCloud – Design, provision, optimize, and operate enterprise AWS environments across large multi-account architectures, including both GovCloud and commercial AWS partitions. Experience supporting AWS environments spanning hundreds of accounts and mission workloads.
- Infrastructure as Code & Automation – Extensive experience with AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, Python, Bash, PowerShell, and Ansible for repeatable infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational automation.
- DevSecOps & CI/CD – Design and support end-to-end CI/CD capabilities, pipeline automation, GitOps practices, secure software delivery, artifact management, and integration of AWS-native and third-party COTS technologies.
- Container Platforms & Orchestration – Engineer and operate Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, Amazon ECS, and Dockerenvironments supporting enterprise, single-tenant, and multi-tenant workloads.
- Cloud & Application Migration – Plan and execute migrations from on-premises infrastructure to AWS-hosted environments, including lift-and-shift migrations, infrastructure modernization, customer onboarding, technical refreshes, and system decommissioning.
- Hybrid Cloud Engineering – Design and maintain infrastructure spanning AWS GovCloud, AWS Commercial, Microsoft Azure Government, on-premises environments, and other government cloud platforms.
- Windows & Linux Engineering – Engineer, administer, secure, and troubleshoot RHEL and Windows Server systems supporting enterprise applications and mission services.
- Cloud Security & Compliance – Implement infrastructure according to DoD RMF, DISA STIGs, SRGs, FedRAMP, and AWS security best practices while partnering with cybersecurity teams to maintain compliant system baselines.
