Senior Client Delivery Manager – ERP Implementations and Consulting Services
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Client Delivery Manager – ERP Implementations and Consulting Services based in the United States.
This role leads end-to-end ERP implementation and consulting engagements for mid-sized and enterprise clients, from discovery through go-live and hypercare. You will oversee complex projects while ensuring delivery stays on time, within budget, and aligned with quality standards. The position combines senior project leadership with ongoing account management responsibilities after implementation. You will build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, project teams, and technology partners. The role also provides opportunities to identify additional service needs, renewals, and account growth opportunities. You will work in a remote environment with occasional travel to client sites across the United States and Canada.
Accountabilities:
The Senior Client Delivery Manager will oversee project execution, client relationships, risk management, and post-implementation success across the full ERP lifecycle.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and work breakdown structures covering scope, budgets, resources, timelines, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Lead ERP implementations from discovery and requirements gathering through testing, data migration, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
- Serve as a key liaison between executive sponsors, steering committees, client project managers, department heads, IT teams, and external software vendors.
- Identify project roadblocks, including data migration challenges and software limitations, and proactively establish mitigation plans.
- Coordinate functional consultants, technical developers, data migration specialists, QA resources, and other cross-functional contributors.
- Facilitate client workshops, project status meetings, and executive steering committee updates.
- Develop and contribute to statements of work and ensure adherence to project governance, change management, and implementation best practices.
- Manage client expectations, resolve conflicts, and maintain strong relationships throughout each engagement.
- Oversee system integration, testing, training, data migration, and go-live support activities.
- Establish post-go-live hypercare and coordinate the transition to ongoing support teams.
- Act as the ongoing account contact after implementation, monitoring account health and satisfaction while identifying opportunities for additional services, upsells, and contract renewals.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of ERP implementation methodologies, processes, and templates.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate combines strong project management expertise with hands-on ERP implementation experience, consulting capabilities, and excellent client leadership skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- At least 5 years of professional project management experience, including 3+ years focused on ERP implementations or comparable enterprise systems.
- Proven experience successfully delivering full-cycle ERP implementations from discovery through go-live and hypercare.
- Experience with at least one major ERP platform such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics 365, SYSPRO, Infor, Epicor, Sage, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of PMBOK, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, conflict resolution, and client relationship skills.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
- Consulting services experience within a Big 4, mid-market, or boutique ERP consulting environment is preferred.
- SYSPRO ERP implementation experience is strongly preferred.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or another relevant project management certification is an advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, or related industry environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of SQL, data migration tools, integration platforms such as Boomi or MuleSoft, AI platforms, and reporting tools is beneficial.
- Willingness and ability to travel to client sites as required, typically 10–20%.
