Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Casting Technology Manufacturing Engineer based in United States.
This fully remote role provides technical leadership across casting manufacturing processes supporting airfoil and structural casting operations.
You’ll help advance supplier capabilities, improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and introduce new casting technologies.
The position combines process engineering, supplier development, technology industrialization, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll work closely with quality, design, sourcing, and supplier teams to translate technical objectives into measurable manufacturing improvements.
The role offers the opportunity to influence new product introduction and technology maturation while driving continuous improvement.
You’ll operate in a technically demanding aerospace environment where analytical problem-solving and practical execution are highly valued.
The position is primarily aligned with Eastern Time and involves approximately 25–50% travel, including onboarding visits to Cincinnati.
Accountabilities

Own technical processes and product activities for the casting commodity, providing subject-matter expertise across manufacturing initiatives.

Support the development, industrialization, and implementation of new casting technologies and manufacturing processes.

Plan and execute process-engineering activities for new product and technology development.

Collaborate with Quality and Design Engineering teams to ensure new processes achieve established quality, performance, and manufacturing metrics.

Partner with sourcing teams on casting supplier development, producibility improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Mentor suppliers on quality tools, requirements, manufacturing practices, and the adoption of new technologies.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, cost reduction, process efficiency, and operational performance.

Act as a change agent by identifying opportunities to improve processes and move operations toward world-class performance.

Communicate project progress, technical challenges, risks, and opportunities to leadership and relevant stakeholders.

Support technology maturation, new product introduction, and other manufacturing engineering initiatives as required.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical field, or a high school diploma/GED combined with at least 4 years of relevant quality, manufacturing, or casting experience.

Minimum of 5 years of professional casting experience.

Demonstrated experience in manufacturing process engineering, casting technology, supplier development, or related technical disciplines.

Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25–50%, including multiple visits to Cincinnati during the first six months for training and onboarding.

Experience with SX and Equiax investment casting is preferred.

Experience with additive manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI) is preferred.

Proficiency with Siemens NX or a comparable CAD system is desirable.

Familiarity with Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) maturation is preferred.

Experience with APQP and PPAP processes is an advantage.

Established project management capabilities and the ability to coordinate technical activities across multiple stakeholders.

Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and challenges clearly to cross-functional and non-technical audiences.

Analytical and structured problem-solving approach, with the ability to challenge existing processes and identify practical improvements.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Base salary range of $116,000–$160,000 , with the specific offer influenced by experience, education, skills, and other relevant factors.
