The Senior – Business Process Outsourcing plays a key role in delivering high-quality outsourced accounting and financial services to a diverse portfolio of clients. This position combines technical accounting expertise, engagement management, and client relationship development to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient business processes. The successful candidate will oversee multiple engagements, review financial documentation, and help clients resolve accounting challenges while identifying opportunities for improvement. Working closely with client management, this professional will provide valuable insights and recommendations that support operational effectiveness and financial accuracy. The role also involves mentoring team members, reviewing their work, and contributing to their professional development. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity suited to an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, client-focused advisory environment.
Accountabilities

Manage Client Engagements: Plan, coordinate, and supervise assigned business process outsourcing engagements, ensuring work is completed accurately and within established deadlines.

Understand Client Operations: Develop a strong working knowledge of each client’s business, financial processes, and operational requirements to deliver tailored accounting support.

Review Accounting Documentation: Review workpapers and financial statements for accuracy, completeness, and compliance, including the appropriate preparation of financial statement disclosures.

Oversee Financial Reconciliations: Analyze balance sheet accounts, prepare and review account reconciliations, and ensure financial records are complete and reliable.

Manage Cash Transactions: Oversee daily cash transaction posting and ensure cash reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.

Conduct Internal Control Reviews: Perform periodic internal audits of selected activities to assess compliance with internal controls and identify areas for improvement.

Resolve Accounting Issues: Research accounting and operational challenges, coordinate resolutions, and help maintain the quality and efficiency of client engagements.

Build Client Relationships: Collaborate with key client stakeholders to gather information, address concerns, resolve problems, and recommend business and process improvements.

Lead and Develop Staff: Support team members’ professional development, review their work, provide constructive feedback, and prepare staff performance evaluations.

Manage Multiple Priorities: Coordinate several engagements simultaneously while maintaining high standards of service, accuracy, and timely delivery.
Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.

Professional Experience: Three to four years of experience as a senior accountant, including experience in an outsourced accounting practice or with an external accounting service provider.

Accounting Expertise: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statement preparation and review, balance sheet analysis, reconciliations, cash transactions, and internal controls.

Technical Proficiency: Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Client Service Orientation: Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent client service and building productive professional relationships.

Project Management: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to plan and supervise multiple engagements concurrently.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to gather information, explain issues, and present recommendations effectively.

Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to investigate accounting issues and develop practical solutions.

Leadership and Mentoring: Ability to supervise engagement activities, support staff development, and contribute to performance evaluations.

Time Management: Proven ability to multitask, prioritize competing responsibilities, and complete assignments within established timeframes and deadlines.
Benefits:

Salary Range: $70,000–$125,000 annually.
