Senior Associate, Digital Product Owner NYL360 (Remote, any state, US)
Job Requisition ID: 94753
Location Designation: Fully Remote
Product Owner, Field Manager Experience (PF4)
NYL360 - New York Life
Reporting To Maile Oliveira, CVP – NYL360
Role Overview
We’re seeking a Product Owner to support the design and delivery of the Field Manager experience within NYL360. NYL360 is New York Life's connected digital experience for the field, bringing together the tools, information, and insights advisors use every day in one place. Built first for advisors, the platform is now expanding to Field Managers and the tools they rely on to run their General Offices. You will work closely with other Product Owners, Designers, Engineers, data teams, testing teams, and field stakeholders to turn Field Manager needs into well-defined, deliverable features. This is a fast-moving transformation effort, and what the team builds will fundamentally change how Field Managers run their business every day.
What You'll Do
Shape the Work Through Prototypes
• Partner with Design to turn high-level epics into working prototypes in place of traditional requirements documentation.
• Define & codify “what good looks like” in terms of Field Manager needs, biz rules, data requirements, and access.
• Refine the stories that come out of the prototype into clear scope and acceptance criteria for engineering.
• Keep the backlog ready for weekly sprint planning.
Coordinate Across Business, Field & Technology Teams
• Work in partnership with Design, Engineering, Data & Testing teams with fewer handoffs than traditional delivery models
• Work directly with Field Managers and other field stakeholders to validate workflows and gather feedback.
• Flag dependencies, risks, and open decisions early enough for the team to act.
Keep Weekly Delivery Moving
• Participate in weekly sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Answer questions and close requirement gaps in the moment so development keeps moving on a one-week cycle.
• Use AI tools in your own product work. This team relies on them heavily in design and development.
• Track sprint commitments, follow-ups, and open items, and own closing them out.
• Capture decisions and trade-offs as they happen.
Support User Acceptance Testing & Quality
• Build test scenarios based on real Field Manager workflows and business use cases.
• Validate delivered functionality in the QA environment, document defects, and confirm resolutions.
Support Readiness & the Field Feedback Loop
• Contribute to communications, demos, and release documentation for new capabilities.
• Support pilots and phased releases, gather feedback, and translate it into product improvements.
• Sort feedback and production issues into usability concerns, defects, enhancements, and maintain backlog items.
What You'll Bring
Experience & Skills
• Experience in product ownership, digital delivery, or a related role preferred.
• Strong ability to translate user feedback and operational pain points into a clear direction, and to carry it through delivery.
• Comfort working with cross-functional teams in a complex environment with legacy systems and evolving processes.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and tools such as Jira preferred.
• Uses AI tools in day-to-day work and looks for ways to apply them across product, design, and delivery.
• Strong attention to detail around data accuracy, business rules, and role-based requirements.
• Understanding of field leadership, field manager workflows, or the New York Life field organization is a plus.
Mindset & Behaviors
• Bias for progress. Owns follow-ups, closes gaps, and finds a practical path forward when the answer is not obvious.
• Decisive. Comfortable making calls with the information available and adjusting as the product evolves.
• Collaborative. Co-creates and iterates with Product, Design, Technology, Data, and field partners.
• Open to a different way of working. Comfortable trading heavy documentation for short cycles and working prototypes
