About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Android Engineer to join a cloud-native engineering team working on modern, customer-facing mobile applications and digital experiences.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining deep native Android development expertise with AWS cloud technologies, modern application architecture, CI/CD, testing, and direct customer collaboration .

You will work alongside Engineers, Architects, Engineering Managers, and Project Managers to design and deliver high-quality solutions for complex mobile initiatives. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, the ability to build and maintain production-ready Android applications, and confidence working directly with customer engineering teams.

The ideal candidate brings deep Kotlin and native Android expertise , strong knowledge of application design and development patterns, AWS experience, and the communication skills required to succeed in a consulting and client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

- Design, build, maintain, and enhance production-grade native Android applications.

- Develop high-quality mobile solutions primarily using Kotlin and modern Android development practices.

- Collaborate with Architects and Engineering Managers to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.

- Apply appropriate application architecture, software design patterns, and engineering best practices.

- Integrate mobile applications with APIs, cloud services, SDKs, and external platforms.

- Contribute to mobile initiatives involving tracking, attribution, deep linking, in-app experiences, and customer journey optimization.

- Write production-ready, well-tested, maintainable, and documented code.

- Build and maintain automated testing for mobile applications.

- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting Android application delivery.

- Work with AWS services and cloud-native architectures supporting mobile applications.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, staging, and production environments.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.

- Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams and clearly communicate technical decisions, progress, risks, and trade-offs.

- Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, architecture, and delivery processes.

- Continuously optimize and improve the user experience of our mobile applications.

Requirements:

- Strong professional experience developing production native Android applications .

- Deep hands-on experience with Kotlin .

- Strong understanding of Android application architecture and software design patterns.

- Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production applications.

- Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, SDKs, and backend/cloud services.

- Strong experience working with AWS cloud environments .

- Experience with CI/CD and mobile application delivery automation.

- Strong understanding of testing and software quality practices.

- Experience working in Agile software development environments.

- Strong customer-facing communication skills.

- Ability to clearly explain technical decisions and trade-offs.

- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Must Have:

- Strong hands-on Kotlin development experience.
