About Us:
Psychiatry UK is the UK’s leading provider of digital psychiatry services, working both privately and with the NHS to support children, teenagers and adults with expert, patient-centred care.
A career with Psychiatry UK allows you to expand your knowledge, enhance your skills, and gain valuable life experience—all while enjoying the flexibility of a remote full-time or part-time role. As part of a leading online mental health service, you'll collaborate with innovative, forward-thinking professionals in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team committed to making a real difference.
The Senior ADHD Specialist Independent Prescriber plays an advanced clinical role within Psychiatry UK 's ADHD service, managing a high-volume caseload of adult patients and delivering safe, effective, evidence-based prescribing throughout the ADHD treatment pathway.
Reporting to the Team Lead and working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, the post holder is responsible for the independent or supplementary prescribing of ADHD medication, undertaking medication titration, End of Titration Reviews (EOTRs), annual medication reviews, and ongoing treatment in accordance with NICE guidance and Psychiatry UK clinical policies.
This role is designed for an experienced ADHD prescriber with highly developed clinical judgement, capable of managing complex prescribing decisions, assessing and mitigating clinical risk, and delivering consistently high standards of patient care across an increased caseload. The focus of the role is on direct clinical delivery rather than supervision or management responsibilities.
This is a home-based role (applicants must reside in the UK), though occasional travel may be required for face-to-face meetings at various locations within the UK.
As our Senior ADHD Specialist Independent Prescriber , you will:
-
Provide safe, effective, and evidence-based prescribing for ADHD patients in accordance with national guidance and internal protocols.
-
Manage a larger clinical caseload while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience.
-
Independently complete End of Titration Reviews (EOTRs) and annual medication reviews, ensuring clinical clarity and continuity of care.
-
Assess, initiate, adjust, and monitor ADHD medications using independent or supplementary prescribing qualifications, exercising sound clinical judgement throughout treatment.
-
Communicate with patients through Psychiatry UK 's secure patient portal, providing timely, accurate, and clinically appropriate advice regarding medication and treatment.
-
Undertake comprehensive risk assessments, identify safeguarding concerns, and escalate appropriately in line with organisational procedures.
-
Participate in multidisciplinary discussions with Consultant Psychiatrists, prescribers, and operational colleagues to support coordinated patient care.
-
Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant clinical records using Psychiatry UK 's electronic patient record systems.
-
Contribute to clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities to support the ongoing development of ADHD services.
-
Keep up to date with ADHD clinical guidance, prescribing legislation, and professional standards through continuous professional development.
-
Identify opportunities to improve prescribing pathways, patient experience, and service efficiency through feedback and clinical insight.
