Project Manager IV

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Project Manager IV based in United States.

This is a senior project leadership role responsible for managing complex, high-impact initiatives from planning through successful completion.
You will oversee scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and stakeholder expectations across multiple projects.
The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including data and medical review functions, as well as senior leadership.
You will also manage specialized operational activities involving payment suspensions, legal documentation, and regulatory communications.
Success in this position depends on strong organization, analytical thinking, communication, and proactive problem-solving.
The environment is highly collaborative and may involve remote or distributed teams operating within regulated healthcare and human services programs.

Accountabilities

Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of large-scale, complex projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and stakeholder requirements.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk-management strategies.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining delivery quality, timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations.

Coordinate cross-functional teams, including data, medical review, operational, and other specialized functions, to maintain seamless project execution.

Monitor project performance, milestones, risks, dependencies, and key metrics, providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Facilitate clear communication across project teams and stakeholders, resolving conflicts and ensuring alignment on objectives, priorities, and deliverables.

Proactively identify project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and drive timely resolution.

Manage communications with CMS Division of Investigative Support (DIS) and ensure relevant information is appropriately coordinated.

Receive legal documents and ensure timely notification and distribution to the appropriate internal or external parties.

Conduct comprehensive file reviews associated with payment suspension activities.

Manage the end-to-end payment suspensions workload, including tracking new requests, monitoring case progress, coordinating follow-ups, and supporting timely resolution.

Apply project management methodologies, change-management practices, and continuous improvement principles to strengthen delivery processes.

Use project management systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate project information, promote transparency, and support informed decision-making.

Apply negotiation and conflict-resolution skills when managing vendor relationships, stakeholder concerns, and team challenges.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.

At least 8 years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of large and complex projects.

Demonstrated success managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering against established objectives, timelines, and budgets.

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.

Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience assessing risks, resources, project performance, and operational priorities.
