This is a remote position.

Location: Remote, with occasional in-person days at our Gurugram office (Sector 110A)

Experience: 0–7 years. Freshers are welcome to apply.

About us Synthlane is a small team building AI-powered products. We move fast, ship often, and care deeply about building things people genuinely want to use. We’re looking for our first product designer to help shape what we build next. About the role You’ll be the designer on our own products, working closely with the founder and our engineering team. This role suits someone who’s curious about why products work the way they do and enjoys turning messy problems into clear, simple experiences. You’ll have real ownership from day one. Your designs will ship, real users will use them, and your ideas will influence what we build. What you’ll work on
- Understanding users: speaking with customers, learning how they work, and bringing those insights back to the team

- Designing in Figma: user flows, wireframes, polished UI, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile

- Designing for AI: making AI-powered features feel natural and trustworthy, including how they handle uncertainty, errors, and user feedback

- Working with engineers: sharing clear designs and collaborating closely through implementation

- Asking good questions: helping us think through why we’re building something and what success looks like

- Learning from results: looking at how features perform after launch and helping us improve them

What we’re looking for
- A portfolio with at least one project you designed end to end. Student, personal, and freelance work all count; we care most about how you think.

- Comfort with Figma, including auto-layout, components, and prototyping

- Curiosity about AI and experience using AI tools in your own work

- Clear communication, written and spoken

- An eye for detail and a habit of noticing what makes products good or frustrating

Must Have
- Experience designing mobile apps

- Exposure to user research or usability testing

- A basic understanding of how software gets built

What you’ll get
- Ownership of real products, not just individual screens

- Direct mentorship and close collaboration with the founder

- Remote flexibility

- Fast feedback loops: you’ll see your work go live and learn from real users

- The chance to grow with the company as an early team member

Our hiring process
- A short application with a few questions

- A conversation about one of your projects

- Design exercise based on a real problem we’re working on

- A final chat with the founder
