This role involves guiding a team to enhance products for secured organizations, focusing on FedRAMP and similar standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with diverse teams to integrate security measures into enterprise application design and development. The position encompasses design, development, leadership, and collaboration within a global team environment.

As a Principal Software Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for:

- Designing and implementing secure network solutions for products, collaborating with stakeholders to transform requirements into functional designs.

- Establishing and upholding security standards, procedures, and guidelines consistently applied across the entire product portfolio.

- Assessing and recommending network and security technologies aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

- Collaborating with audit, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing teams to prioritize and address identified findings effectively.

- Identifying network and security risks in existing architecture and implementation, while ensuring appropriate solutions are effectively implemented.

- Reviewing code in C, C++, Python, and Go while establishing standards and processes to enhance secure-coding quality effectively.

- Guiding and mentoring a team of engineers delivering innovative user access solutions while staying updated on networking, security, and cloud advancements.

- Keeping up with the latest trends and advancements in networking, security, and cloud technologies while ensuring continuous professional development.

Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:

- Have 12+ years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

- Demonstrate expertise in networking protocolsTCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANswith proven experience designing and deploying secure network infrastructures.

- Demonstrate expertise in VPN software, virtual appliances, hypervisors, cloud platforms, and identity and access management protocols and tools.

- Demonstrate expertise in security standards, frameworks, and best practices, with familiarity in NIST standards and FedRAMP compliance knowledge.

- Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Python, or Go, focusing on implementing and adhering to secure coding practices.

- Demonstrate knowledge of developing on-premises and cloud-based appliances while addressing associated security challenges effectively.

- Solve intricate network and security challenges with expertise while utilizing analytical skills to effectively address and resolve technical issues.

- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills while adapting to changing priorities and collaborating effectively across diverse teams.
