What we do

At Terabase Energy, we believe digitalization and automation will drive the next wave of innovation and cost reduction in utility-scale solar. Terabase is developing an interconnected software and construction automation platform supporting the design, optimization, construction, and operation of large solar projects around the world.

Our team includes solar-industry veterans and newcomers, engineers, software developers, product managers, project managers, and commercial professionals. We are headquartered in Northern California, with offices and employees across the United States and around the world.

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Engineer to design, implement, and operate the network infrastructure that connects Terabase’ s Projects, users, and cloud environments. You will own the health, performance, and security of both our enterprise/campus LAN-WAN footprint and our cloud networking, working as part of a distributed team to keep connectivity fast, reliable, and secure. This is a hands-on role with significant influence over architecture and standards.

What You'll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise and campus LAN/WAN infrastructure, including switching, routing, wireless, and SD-WAN.
- Architect and manage cloud networking across AWS/Azure— VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, transit gateways, VPN, and hybrid connectivity (Direct Connect / ExpressRoute).
- Lead network capacity planning, performance tuning, and resilience/high-availability design.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, and access controls in partnership with the security team.
- Monitor network health using observability and monitoring tools; troubleshoot and resolve complex connectivity, latency, and performance issues.
- Automate network provisioning and configuration management using scripting and infrastructure-as-code.
- Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and standards.
- Respond to and lead resolution of network incidents, including occasional on-call participation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on network design decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (security, cloud, IT support) to support business and project needs.
