Substitute Early Childhood Educator / English Teacher / Childcare

Job Overview (Substitute Teacher & Childcare)
Role: Substitute Teacher & Childcare Provider
Locations: Mobile role covering all 8 centers in the Greater Tokyo area plus working at external locations (frequent travel required)
Contract: 1-Year Renewable Contract (Typically April – March)
Status: Shift-based, 5 days per week
Hours: 9-hour shift per day (includes a 1-hour lunch break)
Schedule: Includes working approximately 4 weekends (Saturday or Sunday) per year

Key Responsibilities
Childcare Support: Provide dedicated, high-quality childcare, which constitutes approximately 50% of your daily duties.
Class Delivery: Teach engaging, curriculum-based English lessons ranging from 50 minutes to 5 hours.
Adaptability: Transition smoothly between different age groups (infants to elementary students) and school locations.
Compliance: Adhere strictly to Japanese childcare regulations and safety standards.
Collaboration: Maintain proactive, open communication with school managers and fellow educators.

Requirements
Residency: Must currently reside in Japan.
Visa: Must possess a valid working visa (Visa sponsorship available for exceptional candidates).
Education: 4-year Bachelor’s degree or higher.
Certification: TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certificate or an equivalent teaching credential.
Qualities: Genuine love and patience for young children, a collaborative mindset, and a flexible attitude toward trying new teaching methods.

Compensation & Benefits
Training: Comprehensive onboarding provided (both desk-based and on-the-job training).
Commutation: Public transportation fees are fully reimbursed.
