FCamara is looking for a Mid Backend Engineer to design and evolve scalable backend systems within a modern .NET ecosystem.You will work on customer-centric platforms involving onboarding workflows, orchestration, and integrations across internal and external systems within a microservices-based architecture.

We are looking for candidates located in Portugal or the United Kingdom, due to the time zone alignment with the client.

- Build and maintain backend APIs and services using C# and .NET

- Work within a clean architecture and microservices-based ecosystem using UseCases, repositories, and domain entities

- Design and implement backend workflows and REST APIs

- Write maintainable, testable, and production-ready code

- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

- Work with SQL databases, Entity Framework, and transactional workflows

- Collaborate with frontend engineers on multi-step workflows and API contracts

- 3+ years of backend engineering experience

- Strong experience with C# and .NET

- Experience building REST APIs

- Good understanding of clean architecture or layered architecture

- Experience with Entity Framework, SQL, and relational databases

- Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms and microservices-based systems

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

- Fluency in English

Nice to Have:

- Experience in banking, fintech, CRM, or onboarding platforms

- Understanding of concurrency, idempotency, and workflow orchestration

- Experience with distributed systems and cloud-native services
