POSITION SUMMARY

Title: Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - GI Oncology

Natera is a clinical genetic testing company specializing in non-invasive, cell-free DNA (cfDNA) and liquid biopsy testing. We are seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for our Gastrointestinal (GI) Oncology portfolio to primarily support Signatera, our personalized, tumor-informed minimal residual disease (MRD) test. In this field-based role, you will serve as a scientific expert responsible for engaging GI oncology healthcare providers, sharing peer-reviewed clinical data, and delivering accurate information that proactively informs disease management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Establish and maintain scientific relationships with GI oncology healthcare providers and key opinion leaders (KOLs) within a defined territory.

Deliver accurate, balanced, and clinically relevant education on Natera โ€™s GI oncology molecular diagnostics and clinical data.

Drive territory strategy quickly and adapt as Medical Affairs priorities shift.

Identify and communicate field insights, including GI oncology treatment trends, unmet clinical needs, and competitive dynamics.

Respond to unsolicited medical inquiries in a timely, compliant, and scientifically rigorous manner.

Support execution of Medical Affairs initiatives, including advisory boards and medical education programs.

Act as a subject matter expert on gastrointestinal oncology disease states, clinical data, and the broader diagnostics market.

Partner closely with commercial and clinical teams to support patient care without compromising scientific truth.

Take personal accountability for doing things the right way, adhering strictly to healthcare regulations and internal standards.

Support and coordinate clinical trial and research initiatives at academic institutions and regional study sites.

Accurately track territory engagement and document actionable clinical insights.

Travel 60-70% across the territory for clinical engagement and conferences.

Adapt quickly to emerging scientific and clinical needs across the GI oncology portfolio.

QUALIFICATIONS

Advanced healthcare or scientific degree preferred (Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D., D.N.P.), with a minimum of a Master's degree required.

Prior Medical Affairs or MSL experience in GI oncology or molecular diagnostics preferred.

Must reside within the assigned territory.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a remote, field-based position requiring daily use of a computer and the ability to travel extensively.
