Position: Mechanical Engineering Expert
Type: Contract
Compensation: $65–$90/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10 hours/week
Role Responsibilities

- Review and evaluate written content and AI-generated responses in mechanical engineering for accuracy and quality.

- Answer questions and provide clear, well-reasoned feedback based on professional experience.

- Identify useful reference material relevant to mechanical engineering.

- Share insights into mechanical engineering tools, workflows, and standards.

- Collaborate with other subject-matter experts across different fields.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- Degree-qualified mechanical engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license in the US.

- 2+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience.

- Familiarity with codes and standards (e.g., ASME ) and tools ( SolidWorks , ANSYS , AutoCAD ).

- Professional working English .

- Based in the United States .

- Commitment to about 10 hours per week .

Preferred

- Experience writing technical documentation, specs, or training material.

- Comfortable using everyday AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT ).
