Role Overview
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated bilingual professional to help build DTP Education Japan’s presence in the Japanese market.

This role combines marketing, business development, account management, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director in Japan and with international product teams to promote DTP Education’s products, support customers and partners, and help establish the company’s brand and market presence in Japan.

This position offers a unique opportunity to combine the agility and variety of a start-up environment with the credibility, stability, and reach of the Gakken Group.

Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications
• Develop and maintain bilingual marketing materials for the Japanese market, including:
o Website content
o Product catalogues
o Sales presentations
o Social media content
o Promotional materials
• Support product launches and marketing campaigns
• Help develop product positioning and messaging for Japanese customers
• Assist in managing the company’s online presence and communications
Sales & Account Management
• Support sales activities and customer outreach
• Develop and maintain relationships with schools, distributors, and business partners
• Manage key accounts and support business development initiatives
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
• Gather customer feedback and communicate market needs to the product team
Events & Market Development
• Represent DTP Education Japan and the Gakken Group at conferences, exhibitions, and educational events
• Identify opportunities for partnerships and collaboration
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity
• Support the development of DTP Education Japan’s long-term market presence

Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who is:
• A native Japanese speaker with strong English communication skills
• Energetic, proactive, and self-motivated
• Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial team
• Skilled at building relationships and managing customer accounts
• Interested in education, publishing, or learning technology
• Familiar with modern marketing concepts and digital communications
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in sales, marketing, business development, or account management
• Experience in education, educational publishing, EdTech, or English language learning
• Experience preparing marketing materials and managing social media channels
• Experience working in an international environment
