Manager, Supply Chain
The Role
Minted is looking for an operational lead to manage and scale the supply chain network for our core stationery business. In this role, you will oversee supplier relationships, optimize peak-season capacity, and ensure our print and fulfillment partners deliver exceptional quality on tight timelines.
You will sit at the intersection of supply chain strategy, vendor operations, and cross-functional execution—working directly with external manufacturing partners and internal product, engineering, and customer ops teams to drive down costs while keeping customer satisfaction high.
What you will do
- Vendor & Network Management: Directly manage our network of manufacturers. Monitor day-to-day vendor performance across key metrics like on-time delivery, defect rates, and unit costs.
- Capacity Planning & Scaling: Build capacity models and route orders dynamically to support aggressive sales growth and seasonal spikes. Onboard new manufacturing partners & vendors as needed.
- Fulfillment Strategy: Own execution strategies for specialty products like foil-pressed cards, maximizing throughput and operational efficiency while keeping capital expenditures low.
- Quality Control & Customer Advocacy: Partner with Customer Operations to analyze feedback, identify root causes for late or damaged orders, and execute corrective action plans directly with vendors.
- Cross-Functional & Systems Improvements: Collaborate with Product and Engineering to translate operational needs into technical specifications for our routing, inventory, and order-management systems.
You have
- 5+ years of experience in on-demand supply chain, manufacturing, vendor operations, or e-commerce fulfillment.
- Data & Modeling Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and BI tools (e.g., Looker) to build cost, forecasting, and capacity models. Experience in utilizing AI to automate manual processes & build efficiencies.
- Vendor Management: Proven track record of managing third-party manufacturers/3PLs, enforcing SLAs, and running quarterly business reviews.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to translate complex supply chain trade-offs to product managers, engineers, and executive stakeholders.
- Peak Season Experience: Experience navigating high-volume e-commerce seasonality, especially with on-demand D2C fulfillment.
Bonus Points
- Background in print, paper, custom manufacturing, or high-SKU/personalized e-commerce.
- Degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
