Long Form YouTube Documentary Editor (Music and Culture, 15 to 30 Min)

I make long form documentaries about music and culture for YouTube. Think the pacing of Patrick Cc:, the graphic language of Moon, the subject matter of MattyBallz. I write and research every episode myself. I need editors who can own the cut.

I am hiring MORE THAN ONE editor. I run videos in parallel instead of stacking them on one person, so nobody gets rushed.

THE WORK

- 15 to 30 minute finished documentaries

- You get a locked script, a finished voiceover track, organised footage, a pre cleared archival folder, and my own motion graphics preset kit. You are not hunting for clips or building titles from scratch.

- Adobe Premiere Pro. After Effects is a plus, not a requirement.

- Roughly one to two videos per month per editor, ongoing and steady

- Three week turnaround per video. That is a real deadline, not a squeeze.

WHAT I ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT

- Holding a viewer for twenty minutes. Retention, not cuts per second.

- Hook construction. The first sixty seconds d ---------- the video.

- Hitting the date you agreed to. Consistency beats brilliance here.

PAY

150 USD per finished video to start, paid by Wise on delivery. More for editors who prove out over a few episodes. I do not make people chase invoices.

NEXT STEP

Shortlisted editors get a paid test: 75 USD for a two minute section of real footage, 72 hours to deliver. The same footage goes to everyone shortlisted, and I pay whether or not I hire you.
