Position: Financial Crime, AML & KYC Analyst
Type: Contract
Compensation: $75–$100/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 15 hours/week
Role Responsibilities

- Adjudicate transaction-monitoring alerts using alert packets, KYC/CDD profiles , and transaction history. Document dispositions and draft SAR narratives as needed.

- Review client onboarding and KYC packets for completeness. Identify and document cross-document discrepancies and produce remediation lists.

- Resolve complex beneficial-ownership structures. Apply 10%/25% UBO thresholds effectively.

- Adjudicate sanctions and adverse-media hits. Provide short rationales for true matches, false positives, or escalations.

- Triage supervisory alert queues. Adjudicate card fraud and disputes. Assess flagged communications against trade records.

Qualifications

Must-Have

- 3+ years hands-on in AML , financial-crime, KYC/CDD , sanctions screening, fraud/disputes, or transaction surveillance.

- Working knowledge of FinCEN , FATF , OFAC frameworks, and SAR/CDD documentation standards .

- Ability to write clear, defensible rationales.

Preferred

- CAMS/ACAMS or CFE certification.

- Experience in enhanced due diligence, entity unwinding, SQL , or transaction analytics.

- Background in fintech or payments.

Assessment
- A timed exercise involving a mock alert packet, disposition and SAR narrative , a KYC packet discrepancy and remediation list, and a batch of sanctions hits adjudication with rationale.
