Junior Video Editor - Fresher (WFH)

Dobby Ads is a design-first creative studio creating high-impact visual content, AI-powered videos, and digital experiences for global consumer brands. Our fully remote team combines human creativity with cutting-edge AI tools to deliver exceptional work at scale. We are now looking for a talented Junior Video Editor to join our growing team. This is a full-time, entry-level role for candidates passionate about video editing and motion graphics.

Key responsibilities:

1. Edit YouTube Shorts, videos, and other short-form social content

2. Create engaging humour, entertainment, and kids-focused videos

3. Edit raw footage into fast-paced, entertaining, and visually engaging content

4. Understand hooks, pacing, retention, and storytelling in short-form videos

5. Add captions, text animations, transitions, sound effects, music, and visual effects

6. Use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and Adobe After Effects for motion graphics and animation

7. Create engaging visual moments using zooms, cuts, effects, memes, reactions, and comedic timing

8. Adapt videos for different social media formats and aspect ratios

9. Work with creative briefs, scripts, and references to develop the right visual treatment

10. Source, organize, and manage footage, music, graphics, and other production assets

11. Use AI tools for content creation, enhancement, ideation, image/video generation, and editing

12. Keep up with YouTube, Instagram, and short-form content trends

13. Stay updated with the latest editing techniques, trends, and AI innovations

14. Manage multiple videos and deliver content within timelines

15. Ensure final videos meet brand guidelines and quality standards

Preferred:

1. Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve (color grading is a plus).

2. Exposure to motion graphics or basic animation projects.

3. Understanding of social media content formats.

4. Knowledge of sound editing and basic color correction.

5. Experience creating YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels.

6. Experience with kids, humour, entertainment, or meme-based content.

7. Basic knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator.

- 4. Strong sense of timing, pacing, storytelling, and visual humour.
- 5. Ability to create engaging videos within the first few seconds.
- 6. Good understanding of social media trends, memes, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- 7. Ability to edit content appropriately for kids and family-friendly audiences.
- 8. Good understanding of music, sound effects, captions, and visual transitions.
- 9. Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- 10. Ability to understand a brief and translate it into an engaging video.
- 11. Experience with AI image or AI video tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Runway, Kling, Veo, Midjourney, Firefly, and Canva AI.
- 12. Understanding of AI-based features in modern editing workflows.

- 13. Willingness to learn and adopt new AI creative technologies.
- 14. A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Video Editing, Animation, Motion Graphics, VFX, Design, or related fields is preferred.
- 15. Candidates who graduated in 2026 with a strong portfolio are eligible to apply.
- 16. PC/laptop with a minimum of 16 GB RAM.
- 17. Stable internet connection of 50 Mbps or higher.
- 18. Quiet, dedicated workspace for remote work.
