Tired of the 9-to-5 grind? Imagine a World without borders, where opportunities are endless. That's the future of work, and what we are building at WorkMotion. Our remote-first team spans across the world, helping companies hire, onboard, and manage talent internationally through smart, flexible workforce solutions. Fast-paced, people-driven, and globally connected — we empower businesses to build teams without borders.
More Than a Role
We don’t just need a HR Operations Specialist — we need a problem-solver, compliance expert, and trusted HR advisor with client centric mindset. We’re looking for someone who gets their energy from navigating complex employment matters, delivering exceptional client and employee experiences, and driving operational excellence. While Nordics will be your primary area of expertise, you will also support employment matters across additional European countries, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders in a truly international environment.
This isn’t a role for someone who wants to stay in their lane. You’ll be at the center of it all — partnering with clients to solve people-related challenges, guiding employees through key moments in their employment journey, and ensuring seamless HR operations across multiple countries — ensuring everything you touch is customer-centric, compliant, efficient, impactful and aligned with our wider goals.
You won’t be a solo operator. You’ll collaborate with clients, employees, leadership, legal, payroll, finance, product, and external partners, bringing everything together to ensure consistency, impact, and momentum across the board.
Where Responsibility Meets Real Opportunity
- Serve as the primary HR advisor for assigned countries (primarily Nordics), managing complex employment matters throughout the employee lifecycle and acting as a trusted point of contact for both clients and employees.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations by providing expert guidance, maintaining country-specific processes, identifying risks, and implementing corrective actions where needed.
- Deliver a high-quality employee and client experience by resolving HR queries, supporting key employment events, and providing practical, business-focused solutions.
- Drive operational excellence through continuous process improvement, standardisation, and optimisation of HR procedures across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Payroll, Finance, Product, and external partners to ensure seamless delivery of HR services and scalable solutions.
- Support reporting, audits, HR administration, knowledge management, and strategic projects that contribute to the success and growth of the business.

What It Takes to Make an Impact Here
- 2+ years of experience in HR Operations, Employee Lifecycle Management, HR Advisory, or a similar client-facing HR role.
- Strong working knowledge of Nordics employment law and HR practices, with the ability to confidently advise and lead on employee lifecycle matters, compliance requirements, and employment-related risks.
- Ability to balance customer needs, compliance requirements, and business objectives in a fast-paced international environment.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Fluent in English is a Must and Swedish or Danish or Finnish or Norwegian (written and spoken) is a great plus.

Bonus Points If You Bring…
- Experience working in an Employer of Record (EOR), global mobility, payroll, or international HR environment.
- Experience supporting multinational clients across multiple jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms and process improvement initiatives.
- Additional European language skills
