The DCX Client Services – Home-Based Bookkeeper
We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting operations for a U.S.-based business. This role will handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end close, financial reporting, and general bookkeeping activities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience supporting a U.S. small business , is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online, and can independently manage multiple accounting deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Accounts Payable
- Review and approve supplier bills for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and process weekly check and credit card payments.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding inquiries and payment status.
Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and issue client invoices.
- Record and apply incoming payments accurately.
- Manage collections, statements, reminders, and follow-ups.
- Maintain accurate A/R records and aging.
- Handle credit requests and conduct credit reference checks as needed.
General Accounting
- Prepare and file sales tax remittances using Avalara.
- Manage QuickBooks Online bank feeds and post journal entries.
- Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Collaborate with the Fractional CFO on reconciliations and reporting.
Month-End & Financial Reporting
- Perform month-end close, including accruals, prepaids, and adjusting journal entries.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements for CFO review.
- Analyze account variances and identify discrepancies.
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and record depreciation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Support year-end close and provide documentation for tax preparers and auditors.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any related field.
Experience
- 2+ years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
- Experience bookkeeping for a small business with a U.S.-based company.
- Experience independently performing most of the accounting responsibilities outlined in the role.
Language Proficiency
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (USA) .
- Must be available during U.S. Central Time business hours.
