Teambase is an insurtech software vendor building cloud-based solutions for insurance carriers, brokers, and MGAs: underwriting workflows, portals, policy and quotation management, integrations, reporting, and document processing. Our main product is a mature ASP.NET MVC 5 application on .NET Framework 4.8, and new development is built on .NET 10 and Vue 3 on Azure. Developers work full-stack.

We are hiring at both strong Mid-level and Senior level. The core work is the same, and the scope of ownership grows with seniority. We’ll agree on the level during the interview process, based on your experience.

We are fully remote, with a team spread across Europe, the UAE, and other countries. Most collaboration happens in English, in writing, and across time zones.

Tech stack: C#, .NET Framework 4.8 / ASP.NET MVC 5 and .NET 10, SQL Server / Azure SQL, EF6 / EF Core, Vue 3 + TypeScript, legacy jQuery / Knockout.js / Kendo UI, Azure, Azure DevOps, Claude Code.

What you will do
- Deliver features end-to-end across API, UI, database, and tests, in both the legacy ASP.NET MVC 5 product and new .NET 10 / Vue 3 applications
- Turn business requirements into practical solutions with the Product Owner and Team Leader, and spot missing cases before implementation
- Build background jobs, Azure Functions, queue-driven processing, and integrations
- Write unit and integration tests, support QA, and fix defects
- Review pull requests, including AI-generated changes

At Senior level, you will also
- Own complex modules end-to-end: requirements clarification, technical design, implementation, release, and production stabilization
- Lead incremental modernization: .NET Framework to .NET 10, Azure Functions to the isolated worker model, OpenTelemetry, and automated tests
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers
- Shape how the team works with AI: repository agent configuration, the spec-driven workflow, and safe practices
- Explain trade-offs to Product Owners and raise risks early

For all levels
- 3+ years of commercial experience with C# and .NET, including ASP.NET MVC / Web API and ASP.NET Core
- Solid SQL Server: stored procedures, views, indexes, and reading query plans; EF6 and EF Core
- Practical Vue 3 and TypeScript (strong React or Angular experience is accepted if you are willing to work in Vue)
- Ability to read and modify legacy jQuery, Knockout.js, and Kendo UI code
- Async programming, dependency injection, SOLID, and design patterns
- Practical Azure (App Service, Azure SQL, Storage, Functions, Key Vault, Application Insights), Azure DevOps, and Git
- Unit and integration testing (xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) and secure coding practices
- English at Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher, spoken and written, and comfort working asynchronously in a distributed team

For Senior level, additionally
- 5+ years of commercial experience, preferably on enterprise products, across .NET Framework (ASP.NET MVC 5, Web API 2) and modern ASP.NET Core
- Strong SQL Server / Azure SQL: complex T-SQL, query plans, locking, and safe schema changes
- Security: Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth 2.0 / OpenID Connect, OWASP Top 10
- Production debugging across application, database, configuration, and infrastructure
- Confident stakeholder communication for requirements and design discussions

Nice to have
- AI-assisted development: daily use of Claude Code, GitHub Copilot agent mode, Cursor, or similar, reviewing AI output to the same standard as human code, and spec-driven development (GitHub Spec-Kit, OpenSpec)
- Developing AI agents: calling LLM APIs from .NET with structured output and tool calling; building agents or MCP servers with Microsoft Agent Framework, Microsoft.Extensions.AI, Azure AI Foundry, or the Claude Agent SDK
- RAG and evaluation: embeddings, hybrid search, grounding with citations, evaluation sets, and prompt-injection defense
- Insurance, finance, or broker-systems domain experience
- Migrating from .NET Framework to modern .NET; Docker, Azure Container Apps, Aspire, GitHub Actions, Playwright
- Mobile development (Flutter, React Native, .NET MAUI, Capacitor) or RPA (UiPath, Power Automate)

- Feature and module ownership on a live insurtech platform and on new .NET 10 / Vue 3 projects
- Modernization work with real influence on technical design and delivery practice
- A clear path towards senior responsibilities for mid-level developers
- Involvement in AI initiatives: agents, document processing, and knowledge search
- Claude Code as our standard AI development tool, with a seat for every developer on our team subscription. Some projects use spec-driven development with GitHub Spec-Kit, and you own every line you submit, whoever or whatever wrote it
- Fully remote work in an international team
- Contractor agreement, paid monthly in USD
- This role is open to candidates based anywhere in Europe, including EU and non-EU countries
- Salary: $2,500–4,000 per month, depending on level and experience .
