Front End Developer (WFH)

About the job:
We are looking for a Frontend Developer to build and maintain responsive, performant web applications using React and Vite. The ideal candidate writes clean, maintainable code, has a strong grasp of modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and cares about how an interface actually feels to use. You will work closely with the Backend, Design, and Product teams to ship fast, reliable, and user-friendly web experiences.

Key responsibilities:

1. Build and maintain single-page applications using React, Vite, and TypeScript

2. Translate designs and wireframes into responsive, pixel-accurate UI components

3. Implement and maintain application state using Redux Toolkit or an equivalent state management library

4. Maintain reusable component libraries and shared utilities

5. Integrate REST APIs and handle asynchronous data flows, loading states, and error handling

6. Optimise applications for speed, bundle size, and rendering performance

7. Troubleshoot and debug cross-browser and cross-device issues

8. Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product stakeholders to define and ship new features

9. Participate in code reviews and contribute to frontend coding standards

1. Features ship on time, with clean and maintainable code

2. Interfaces are pixel-accurate, responsive, and fast across browsers and devices

3. Reusable components and shared utilities make the whole team faster

Skills required:

Other Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
- Hands-on experience with React, including hooks and component lifecycle
- Experience with Vite (or comparable tooling such as Webpack) and modern build pipelines
- Solid CSS skills, including responsive design and preprocessors or utility frameworks
- Experience with a state management library, preferably Redux / Redux Toolkit
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with backend services
- Working knowledge of Git and collaborative branching workflows
- Familiarity with browser developer tools for debugging and profiling
- Familiarity with WebSockets, WebRTC, or other real-time communication technologies
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment
- Familiarity with monitoring and error tracking tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
