Founding GTM (Account Executive)
About the Role
This is the founding GTM hire at an early-stage data infrastructure and analytics startup, reporting directly to the CEO. You'll build the go-to-market engine from the ground up โ owning the full sales cycle, designing playbooks, and laying the foundation for a high-performing sales org across financial services, data, and AI customers.
What You'll Do

Build and continuously improve outbound GTM systems that drive predictable pipeline generation.

Own the complete sales cycle for managed services opportunities, from prospecting through close and beyond.

Source the majority of your own pipeline in a hunter-focused capacity.

Develop deep familiarity with the challenges facing target ICPs: financial institutions, data companies, and AI organizations.

Design sales playbooks and processes from scratch, establishing best practices early.

Set up a scalable sales foundation including hiring strategy, tech stack selection, and operational infrastructure.

Nurture and grow customer relationships post-sale to maximize retention and expansion.
What We're Looking For

2+ years of AE and/or SDR experience with a proven track record of building pipeline, closing deals, and hitting quota.

1+ years of experience building GTM systems using AI tools and methodologies.

Demonstrated success closing $10kโ$100k ARR deals.

Background in a sales role at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.

Hunter mentality โ comfortable sourcing and building your own pipeline with limited support.

Experience designing and implementing outbound GTM playbooks and sales infrastructure from scratch.

Prior experience selling into financial services.

Technical fluency with SQL, Python, TypeScript, or similar tools.

Data domain knowledge or experience working with data platforms and data customers is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $200,000โ$250,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in New York City , five days per week. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to NYC.
