Founding Engineer (AI + Geometry / CAD)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join an early-stage team building AI-first software for architecture and construction, including a new BIM authoring tool designed for AI agents. You will help shape its technical foundations, with the opportunity to grow into a technical leadership role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

- Build the geometry and data core of a new BIM authoring tool.

- Develop AI agents that plan and edit real building models.

- Create generative design capabilities that account for building codes and client constraints.

- Work across the stack, moving quickly between unfamiliar technical areas as the product evolves.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

- Production software experience; candidates with 1 to 2 years of experience should also have a long history of building substantial projects independently.

- Hands-on experience with 3D geometry or CAD, such as geometry kernels, B-rep, meshes, CAD APIs, IFC, or Revit.

- Daily practical experience building with LLMs and AI agents.

- A generalist mindset, strong English communication, and experience in a startup or as a founder.

- Experience with Python, PyTorch, TypeScript, or three.js is useful, as is knowledge of AEC, BIM, generative models, or visual data.

- Experience leading engineers or making architecture decisions is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation starts at €100,000 annually, with stock options. Visa sponsorship is not available.

LOCATION

Fully remote within Europe, including the United Kingdom and Switzerland. The primary location is Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
