Who You Are:
You are a motivated Finance or Accounting professional who is passionate about the financial industry. You excel at being detail-oriented and have experience with annual planning and financial modeling in a fast-moving environment. In this role, you will be a self-starter who is skilled in communicating with cross-functional partners who have different backgrounds, levels, and experiences. A successful candidate will be able to manage complex workflows that involve multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships across teams.
What You'll Do

- Help build out and maintain data analyses and reporting to project BHG’s growing list of loan portfolios

- Assist in loan inventory management and short-term cash forecasting

- Develop, produce, and maintain optimization models that support business needs across the Capital Markets and Finance departments.

- Analyze complex financial information, identify trends/opportunities, and provide recommendations to leadership/management for decision-making.

- Support financial team leadership

- Develop analyses to support strategic initiatives utilizing financial reporting tools including Excel, SQL, or PowerBI

- Perform detailed variance analysis evaluating results vs. forecasts, explaining variances attributed to key business drivers, and assisting in month-end financial statements analysis.

- Work with internal teams, provide analytical insights regarding BHG’s loan portfolios to internal teams, including Accounting, Capital Markets, Legal.

- Execute continuous process improvement and ad hoc analysis for the organization.

- Ad hoc projects as requested

What You'll Need

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a quantitative field preferred

- 2 - 4 years of progressive data analytics or finance experience

- Strong quantitative skills, knowledge of financial modeling, and a solid background in lending, capital market specifically structured finance or financial services

- Strong command of Microsoft Excel and common database systems is required, while experience with PowerBI, Tableau or other reporting tools is a plus

- Self-motivated and strong work ethic, with an ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously

- Strong analytical, problem solving skills

- Ability to maintain models, identify key financial & non-financial risks, improve processes, and manage data flow

- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with individuals

- Able to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

- Able to organize, prioritize tasks, and take accountability

- Having or actively pursuing a professional certification such as a CFA, MBA, or CPA is a plus
