Facilitation & Learning Manager
Citizen University is seeking a Facilitation & Learning Manager to support facilitation and experience design of CU trainings and events. Our programs are designed for people we call civic catalysts, local leaders who are committed to strengthening a culture of citizenship in their communities. In this role, youโll serve as a primary facilitator of our flagship program, Live Like a Citizen, which we lead with partner organizations around the country several times a year.
You'll help bring CU content and ideas to life, steward meaningful conversations and dynamic activities, and help civic catalysts โ from teens to older adults โ discover ways to model and activate powerful, responsible citizenship in the places they call home. In addition to Live Like a Citizen, youโll also support experiences for our Alumni Network to enrich and sustain their local efforts, and other emergent opportunities.
Our programs are playful and spirited, engaging mind, body, and heart to invite catalysts to build the habits and skills that nurture healthy civic life and deepen their civic identities. Our learning experiences lean into ritual, craft, and physicality; we take intellectually dense ideas and turn them into concepts that people can feel, play around with, and understand in completely new ways. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by crafting transformative experiences that feel a bit like magic, values staying curious and open with people of many backgrounds, and leads with spirit, judgment, and humility.
