About AlphaGov

AlphaGov is the government and public-sector division of Casa Moon LLC. We help organizations address workforce challenges through executive search, workforce planning, and workforce intelligence.

We are building our team for upcoming executive and senior leadership search engagements. AlphaGov is currently pursuing six government search contracts and welcomes experienced search professionals interested in supporting these opportunities.

Government or public-sector search experience is preferred, but not required. We encourage applicants with successful private-sector, nonprofit, or higher-education search experience to apply.

The Opportunity

Lead executive search engagements, working with AlphaGov and client leadership to define hiring priorities, engage qualified candidates, and guide an organized selection process.

Potential searches include chief executives, department heads, directors, and other senior leaders. Specific assignments will depend on contract awards, client requirements, and your experience.

What You’ll Do
- Lead search kickoff meetings and clarify position requirements, priorities, and timelines.
- Develop search strategies and candidate profiles.
- Identify, approach, and assess executive and senior leadership candidates.
- Conduct structured interviews and prepare clear candidate recommendations.
- Advise hiring managers, executives, boards, or selection committees.
- Coordinate candidate presentations, interviews, and client feedback.
- Support reference checks, offer discussions, and placement follow-through.
- Maintain accurate search records and communicate progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Coordinate with recruiting and research support when assigned.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For
- Experience conducting executive or senior leadership searches.
- Ability to manage a search from initial planning through candidate selection.
- Strong candidate assessment, client communication, and project management skills.
- Confidence engaging senior professionals and handling confidential information.
- Ability to explain your contribution to successful searches.

Preferred Experience
- Searches for government agencies, municipalities, public utilities, higher education, or other public-sector organizations.
- Working with boards, hiring committees, or multiple decision-makers.
- Retained search or search consulting experience.
- Recruiting department heads, chief executives, or other senior organizational leaders.

We welcome independent search consultants, search firm professionals, and experienced in-house recruiting leaders.
