As an Engineering Team Lead, you will  combine people leadership with strong technical expertise . You will lead and develop a team of talented software engineers while staying close enough to the technology to understand challenges, support decisions, and help your team build reliable products.

This role is a great fit for someone who loves staying hands-on and wants to spend the majority of their time coding, while also bringing solid e xperience in leadership and people management beyond technical leadership .  The role has an approximate 70% hands-on coding / 30% people management split. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building software themselves but also has proven experience supporting, developing, and leading people.

Lead and develop your team - Lead, coach, and support a team of software engineers.
- Conduct regular 1:1s and provide continuous feedback and guidance.
- Support the professional and personal development of your team members.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement.
- Help your team set clear goals and create an environment where people can do their best work.
- Take responsibility for team health, motivation, and performance.

Shape technology - Work closely with your team to make sound technical and architectural decisions.
- Act as a technical sparring partner for engineers and help navigate complex technical challenges.
- Ensure high standards for software quality, reliability, maintainability, and observability.
- Stay close to the technology and understand the systems your team is building.
- Contribute to technical discussions and architecture without needing to be the team's primary developer.

Connect people, product, and technology - Collaborate closely with Product Managers, other Engineering Leads, and stakeholders.
- Help translate product goals into clear technical priorities for your team.
- Balance technical excellence with business and customer needs.
- Help your team plan and deliver meaningful improvements and new features.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering organization and ways of working.

We are looking for someone who combines strong software engineering experience with genuine people leadership.

You bring - Several years of professional experience in software engineering
- Practical experience in people leading and developing software engineers, including regular 1:1s, feedback, coaching, and supporting individual development.
- A strong technical foundation and the ability to engage confidently in technical and architectural discussions.
- Experience taking ownership and making decisions in complex or ambiguous situations.
- A collaborative and coaching-oriented leadership style.
- The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A pragmatic mindset and a strong sense of ownership.
- A genuine interest in building products that have a real-world impact.

It would be a plus if you have
- Experience with distributed systems, cloud technologies, IoT, or edge computing.
- Experience with Go, Rust, C++, or similar programming languages.
- Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, observability, or modern cloud infrastructure.
- Experience in energy, EV charging, mobility, or another complex infrastructure domain.
