Chemours is seeking a Technical Marketing Specialist TSS to join our growing Thermal & Specialized Solutions team. This position is remote based in Germany and reports directly to the Regional Technical Manager EMEA. The role primarily supports customers and projects across the DACH region, the Netherlands and the Nordics, while also contributing to broader European initiatives.
Job summary
The refrigeration and HVAC industry is undergoing one of its biggest transitions in decades. Regulations are evolving, refrigerants are changing, and manufacturers are continuously evaluating how to improve environmental performance without compromising safety, efficiency or reliability.
As Technical Marketing Specialist, you will help customers navigate that transition.
Working at the intersection of engineering, application development, business development and technical marketing, you will collaborate with OEMs, consultants, end-users, retailers, universities and industry organizations across Europe to support the qualification and adoption of next-generation refrigerants. Through technical projects, market intelligence and customer engagement, you will help translate industry challenges into practical solutions and business opportunities.
This is not a traditional marketing role. It is a highly visible technical position where you will influence customers, support industry initiatives and help shape the future of sustainable cooling technologies.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead application development projects within refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump markets.
- Support OEMs and customers with the qualification and implementation of next-generation refrigerants.
- Serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor for customers and industry stakeholders.
- Identify and develop technical projects that support business growth and market adoption.
- Analyze field trial and application data and provide recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop technical papers, case studies and conference presentations.
- Monitor market developments, customer needs and competitive activity to support business strategy.
- Support codes, standards and regulatory activities across Europe.
- Build relationships with universities, industry associations and standardization committees.
- Collaborate closely with Technical Marketing, Business Development, Product Management, Sales, Regulatory and R&D teams globally.
The following is required for this role:
Education requirements and/or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Several years of experience within refrigeration, HVAC, heat pumps or related thermal systems industries.
