This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director, Worldwide Tax based in the United States.

This senior leadership role will oversee the organization’s global tax strategy and execution across domestic and international operations.
Reporting to the CFO, the position provides strategic tax guidance on business decisions, transactions, M&A, and global structuring.
You will lead a team of four tax professionals while coordinating Big Four firms and other advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
The role spans international tax, transfer pricing, tax accounting, compliance, indirect taxes, and tax risk management.
You will play a key role in acquisitions, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and post-close tax integration.
The position also offers an opportunity to modernize the tax function through AI, automation, analytics, and scalable technology.
The ideal leader combines deep technical expertise with strong business judgment, executive communication, and a hands-on approach.

Accountabilities

Lead the worldwide tax function across U.S. federal, state and local, international, transfer pricing, and indirect tax matters.

Develop and execute tax strategies designed to appropriately manage global cash taxes, effective tax rate, tax risk, and compliance obligations.

Serve as the primary tax advisor to the CFO and Finance leadership on significant business decisions, transactions, and strategic initiatives.

Monitor global tax developments and evaluate their impact on business operations, legal entities, cash flows, and financial statements.

Lead and develop a team of four tax professionals while managing relationships with external tax advisors and firms worldwide.

Oversee international tax planning, compliance, legal entity structuring, restructuring, and entity rationalization.

Manage U.S. international tax matters, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, E&P, and related cross-border provisions.

Establish and oversee global transfer pricing strategy, documentation, intercompany arrangements, and compliance.

-

Serve as the tax lead for acquisitions and strategic transactions, overseeing tax due diligence, structuring, modeling, risk assessment, and integration.

Oversee global income tax accounting and the tax provision under U.S. GAAP, including ASC 740 requirements.

-

Manage federal, state, local, and international income tax compliance, including filings, estimated payments, elections, and information reporting.

Develop reliable cash-tax forecasts and partner with Finance and Treasury leadership on tax planning and cash management.

Lead global indirect tax activities, including U.S. sales and use tax and international VAT/GST, as well as nexus analysis and registrations.

Lead U.S. federal and state tax audits and oversee international audits, inquiries, and related risk-management activities.

Research complex tax matters, document conclusions, and communicate recommendations and business implications clearly to senior leadership.

Maintain effective tax policies, processes, documentation, and internal controls.

Build a modern, technology-enabled tax function by identifying opportunities to use AI, automation, analytics, and improved data infrastructure.

Partner with Finance and technology teams to reduce manual processes and improve tax research, compliance, forecasting, reconciliation, reporting, and planning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.

8+ years of progressive tax experience, including substantial U.S. corporate and international tax experience.

Strong technical knowledge of U.S. federal and international taxation, including GILTI, FDII, foreign tax credits, E&P, and related reporting requirements.

Strong understanding of ASC 740 and the impact of taxation on
