Moonshot believes that marginalized people in society, including people of colour, Indigenous people, people from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, women, Disabled people, and LGBTQIA+ people, must be centred in the work we do. We strongly encourage applications from people with these identities, or from other communities currently underrepresented in our workforce.

All qualified applicants will be afforded equal employment opportunities without discrimination based on race, creed, colour, national origin, sex, age, disability, or marital status. We know a diverse workforce will enable us to understand the drivers behind violent extremism and online harms in greater depth, and to do better work to counter them.

About the role

Moonshot is currently looking for an analytical, creative, and detail-oriented digital advertising professional to support the design and implementation of paid media campaigns. These campaigns—implemented across search engines, social media, and other digital platforms—advertise violence prevention resources and services to individuals engaging with harmful content online, or to community members worried that someone they know might engage in harmful behaviors.

The Digital Advertising Coordinator, under the oversight of a Campaigns Manager, will support the technical setup, management, and maintenance of these digital campaigns. This will include monitoring campaign performance and troubleshooting, testing the efficacy of campaign assets (ads, websites), and analyzing campaign performance to identify opportunities for optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and data analysis skills, be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong understanding of how to implement ad campaigns across digital platforms (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Ads), and how to use website analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics 4).

This is a remote position. Candidates must be based in Ontario, Canada, due to employment and regulatory requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the technical implementation of paid media campaigns across various digital platforms including and not limited to Google Search, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Quora, Reddit, Rumble, 4chan, and other similar platforms.
- Monitor and troubleshoot campaigns, generating regular reports on campaign performance to highlight key insights and opportunities for improvement.
- Assess technical viability of implementing advertising campaigns across various digital platforms (e.g. Roblox, Discord, Snapchat).
- Monitor and analyze campaign engagement data, including keyword performance and audience demographics.
- Coordinate with the Campaigns Manager and other team members to contribute to the technical development of campaign assets.
- Use analytic tools to track and measure the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
- Contribute to campaign measurement and evaluation activities, including data tracking and quality assurance.
- Contribute to project management activities, where appropriate, including campaign spend tracking, project reporting, and workload tracking through Monday.com.
