What you will do
As a Data Editor, you'll help make sure the TV and streaming information our customers rely on is accurate, complete, and consistent.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Researching and verifying information about movies, series, episodes, shows, and other TV or streaming content.
- Creating, updating, and maintaining content records in our database.
- Reviewing metadata such as titles, synopses, genres, cast and crew information, release details, and other program information.
- Identifying and correcting missing, inaccurate, duplicated, or inconsistent data.
- Using reliable online sources to validate and enrich content information.
- Following internal editorial guidelines and quality standards to ensure consistency across our database.
- Working efficiently with large volumes of data while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Collaborating with colleagues and other teams when information needs clarification or further investigation.
- Learning new tools, processes, and content standards as projects and customer needs evolve.

- If there's a match, we'll invite you to complete a short skills test.

- Once a relevant new project or position becomes available, you'll be among the first people we contact.
Must Haves:
- Location: Mexico
- Exceptional written and spoken English skills.
- Highly structured working style with outstanding attention to detail — you spot errors before anyone else does.
- Comfortable working with data, computers, and databases.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.
- Strong drive to succeed and willingness to get stuck in from day one.
- Passionate about our product and what great metadata can do for the industry.
- Strong interest in TV, movies, streaming platforms, and entertainment content.
Nice to Haves
- Completed higher education, diploma, technical studies, or university degree in a relevant area such as Business, Data, or Media — or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in the media, broadcasting, streaming, or entertainment industry.
- Collaborative skills that make others love working with you.
- Genuine curiosity and energy for continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Interest in building a long-term career at Simply.TV.
Please note - we can only accept CVs in English!
Collaboration based on a freelancer set-up is up to 1,000 USD per month on a full-time allocation basis (40 hours per week).
This role requires you to be in Mexico. If that means relocating or flying in, it is worth checking fares before you commit to a start date.
