Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic D365 Technical Architect to lead the architecture, governance, modernization, and technical direction of a large-scale Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform. This role is responsible for defining and governing enterprise-wide D365 architecture, driving ERP transformation initiatives, establishing platform roadmaps, and ensuring solutions align with business objectives, enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, and long-term technology strategies. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders, enterprise architects, product teams, technical leads, cloud engineering teams, and security stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and future-ready ERP capabilities while providing architectural leadership across multiple business domains.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Define end-to-end D365 Finance & Operations architecture for enterprise-wide ERP solutions.
- Establish architecture principles, standards, design patterns, and reference frameworks.
- Create solution blueprints supporting business transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Ensure ERP solutions align with enterprise architecture standards and technology strategies.
- Drive architectural consistency across all ERP workstreams and delivery teams.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout project lifecycles.
Platform Strategy & Modernization
- Define and maintain the ERP platform roadmap and long-term modernization strategy.
- Evaluate emerging Microsoft technologies and new Dynamics 365 capabilities.
- Drive adoption of cloud-native technologies and platform engineering practices.
- Lead strategic technology decision-making across the ERP landscape.
- Support continuous innovation and optimization of enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve platform scalability, reliability, and performance.
Architecture Governance
- Review and approve technical designs, solution architectures, and implementation approaches.
- Establish architecture review boards, governance processes, and compliance standards.
- Ensure solutions meet regulatory, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
- Govern technical debt, architecture quality, and platform sustainability initiatives.
- Drive adherence to enterprise architectural standards and best practices.
- Lead risk assessment activities related to architecture and technical decision-making.
Integration Architecture
- Define enterprise integration architecture across ERP, CRM, analytics, and third-party platforms.
- Establish standards for APIs, event-driven architecture, and data exchange mechanisms.
- Design reusable integration patterns and shared enterprise services.
- Govern integrations and ensure interoperability across business applications.
- Drive adoption of modern integration technologies and best practices.
- Ensure integration solutions support scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
Data & Analytics Architecture
- Define enterprise data architecture and reporting strategies.
- Establish data governance, master data management, and data integration frameworks.
- Support enterprise reporting, data analytics, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Drive the effective use of Power BI and analytics platforms.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership
- Partner with business leaders to shape ERP and technology strategies.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Product, Cloud, Infrastructure, and Security teams.
- Present architecture recommendations and strategic technology decisions to senior leadership.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Technical Leads, Architects, and Development Teams.
