Position Overview
QinetiQ US is seeking a Senior Customer Account Manager to provide acquisition leadership, client support, quality oversight, and mentorship for commercial satellite communications acquisition activities supporting the U.S. Space Force. The position requires a senior acquisition practitioner who can guide other analysts, lead complex acquisition actions, and maintain consistent execution across team deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Lead acquisition analysts by setting execution priorities, providing acquisition guidance and mentorship, and promoting consistent use of approved templates and processes.
- Serve as the primary interface between the acquisition team and USSF/CSCO client leadership, maintaining client relationships, assessing satisfaction, documenting concerns, and carrying out corrective actions for performance or delivery gaps.
- Lead or support complex acquisition planning under FAR Subpart 7.1, including market research, acquisition strategy, milestones, source selection, performance requirements, and award support.
- Ensure acquisition documentation, contract records, and client deliverables meet quality, compliance, and program standards; serve as the escalation point for complex regulatory interpretations, stakeholder conflicts, and acquisition issues.
- Review acquisition work products and guide analysts in resolving quality, compliance, schedule, and execution concerns.
- Advise senior stakeholders on acquisition approaches, procurement risks, and COMSATCOM market considerations.
- Lead selected complex acquisition actions and prepare decision-support products and briefings for senior government stakeholders.
- Travel up to 10%, including approximately three to six trips annually to the National Capital Region in support of client requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of Federal or DoD acquisition experience supporting pre-award and post-award activities.

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience leading acquisition work, mentoring acquisition professionals, or providing senior technical guidance.
- Strong knowledge of FAR-based acquisition planning, source selection, contract administration, and acquisition documentation.
- Experience leading complex acquisition actions and coordinating across program, technical, financial, legal, and contracting stakeholders.
