Controller

You will be a senior-level financial professional responsible for overseeing the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a company's financial health.
Duties include:

- Managing accounting records and financial statements

- Ensuring compliance with tax laws and business regulations

- Overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

- Supervising accounting staff and payroll operations

- Implement financial controls and risk management strategies

- Assist management with important financial decisions

- Prepare and present month end financial statements to senior management.

- Supervise staff in preparing financial reports and budgets

Skills include:

- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance.

- Ability to analyze financial data, forecast trends, and guide business decisions.

- Strong interpersonal skills to manage teams and collaborate across departments.

- Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking with capacity to identify financial risks and implement solutions.

- Technology Proficiency and Familiar with financial software, data analytics, and automation tools.

- The ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations.

- Attention to detail.

- Organization and project management skills a plus

Education/Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

- CPA designation preferred

- Must have 8+ years of hands-on accounting experience

- Experience with multi-company business

- Experience in expanding, fast growing organizations

- Experience with QuickBooks strongly preferred, Great Plains and other accounting software a plus

- Extensive full cycle accounting experience including closing the books and financial statement preparation and analysis required

- Prior Controllership experience
