Contracts Manager - NA Legal, Commercial Contracts
This is an Individual Contributor role with no people management responsibilities. The position focuses on managing the full lifecycle of commercial contracts while partnering with Sales, Legal, Privacy, Security, and Finance to support North America commercial operations.

Role Overview:
Own the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial contracting across North America, enabling revenue growth while safeguarding the business through disciplined risk management. This role plays a central part in accelerating deal velocity, improving contracting efficiency, and strengthening alignment between Sales, Legal, and operational stakeholders. At Genesys , we are transforming how organizations deliver customer experiences through empathy and AI-driven innovation, and this role directly supports that mission by ensuring scalable, high-quality commercial agreements. You will influence contracting strategy, streamline processes, and partner with global teams to drive consistency and operational excellence. This is an individual contributor role with no direct people management responsibilities, despite the βManagerβ title. This position offers visibility into enterprise deals, exposure to cross-functional leadership, and opportunities to shape contracting frameworks at scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the intake, triage, and prioritization of commercial legal requests, ensuring timely progression and alignment with business objectives.
- Review, negotiate, and finalize routine commercial agreements, including NDAs, order forms, amendments, and low to moderate risk customer contracts.
- Drive adoption of standard templates and playbooks, ensuring consistency while enabling efficient deal execution.
- Identify contractual risks and implement solutions that balance business goals with legal and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Sales, Deal Desk, Privacy, Security, and Legal stakeholders across North America and globally to align on deal strategy and resolve contractual challenges.
- Improve contracting workflows, templates, guidance notes, and self-service tools to increase scalability and reduce cycle times.
- Escalate complex or non-standard issues to legal counsel while independently resolving routine and moderately complex matters.
- Track contract lifecycle metrics, support reporting, and contribute to operational insights that inform process improvements.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business stakeholders throughout the contracting process.
- Support contract administration, intake management, approvals, matter tracking, and reporting.
- Partner with internal legal, procurement, sales, finance, and business stakeholders to support contract negotiations and ensure contractual obligations are understood and appropriately managed.
- Support regional commercial legal projects, including process improvements, contract remediation, policy rollouts, and cross-functional initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Administration, Law, Legal or Paralegal Studies, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in contract management, commercial contracting, legal operations, procurement, in-house legal support or a related legal function.
- Advanced-level proficiency in spoken
