CLINICAL COORDINATOR — PHARMACY & PATIENT ENGAGEMENT

Journey Psyche is a growing multi-state psychiatric and telepsychiatry practice seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator to support our providers and patients.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a pharmacy or pharmaceutical background, including candidates with a pharmacy degree or significant pharmacy experience, who also have excellent patient-engagement and customer-service skills.

This is a highly patient-facing position. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organized, responsive and comfortable communicating with patients throughout their care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Serve as a primary point of contact for existing patients

• Assist patients with medication and prescription-related communications

• Coordinate refill requests between patients, pharmacies and licensed providers

• Follow up on pharmacy issues and prescription status

• Assist with prior-authorization and medication-related administrative workflows

• Identify patients who need follow-up appointments and coordinate scheduling

• Monitor patient messages and ensure issues are routed to the correct clinical provider

• Proactively contact patients who need appointments, documentation or follow-up

• Help prevent patients from falling out of care

• Support new-patient and existing-patient engagement as needed

• Communicate professionally with pharmacies, providers and patients

• Document patient communications accurately in company systems

• Work closely with Journey Psyche’s providers, scheduling team and clinical leadership

• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient interaction

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Preferred backgrounds include:

• Pharmacist or pharmacy-degree background

• Pharmacy technician or pharmaceutical experience

• Healthcare patient engagement

• Behavioral health or psychiatric practice experience

• Medical-office or clinical-coordination experience

• Hospital or healthcare customer service

A pharmacy degree or pharmacy experience is strongly preferred, but we will consider exceptional candidates with substantial healthcare and patient-engagement experience.

• Is comfortable learning healthcare technology and multiple systems

• Understands patient privacy and confidentiality

• Can work independently in a fast-moving remote environment

IMPORTANT CLINICAL BOUNDARY

This is a clinical-coordination and patient-engagement position. Clinical Coordinators do not independently diagnose, prescribe, change medications or make treatment decisions. All clinical decisions remain with Journey Psyche’s appropriately licensed providers.
